GENDER EQUALITY

Gender equality, diversity, and inclusion are the core principles at UNDP. The UNDP Somalia Gender Strategy proposes a new transformative approach towards Gender Equality, with a focus on four key areas: (a) removing structural barriers to women's economic autonomy and enabling, including unpaid work; (b) preventing and responding to gender-based violence; (c) promoting women's participation and leadership in all forms of decision making; and (d) strengthening gender-responsive strategies in crisis prevention, preparedness, and recovery.
